Obama Admin. Faces ‘Massive’ Lawsuit over Christian Genocide

The American Center for Law and Justice filed a “massive” federal lawsuit Tuesday against the U.S. State Department over what it calls the department’s “inaction on genocide.”

The ACLJ said the lawsuit was filed against the State Department “for failing to provide information about actions the Obama administration is taking to stop the genocide of Christians by ISIS – the Islamic State.”

“Christians are being horrifically slaughtered,” ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow said. “This wretched evil is unthinkable. It must be stopped.” Continue reading

‘ISIS on a mission to exterminate Christians’

Morten_Brakestad_Stortinget_flickr1The  so-called Islamic State will not stop until it has “exterminated” all other religious groups, according to a former Islamic extremist now working in counter-terrorism.

“They’re on a mission – a programme of extermination – to wipe out everyone else,” said Shiraz Maher, a former member of Islamist group Hizbut Tahrir, speaking this week in London as he promoted his book, “Salafi-Jihadism: The History of an Idea”.

Maher said wiping out Christians, in particular, is a “very important part” of IS’s ideology. He said that although they were “religious amateurs” with “weak theology”, their claim to have restored the Caliphate – by appointing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as “God’s representative on earth” – has given them a strong position, which leaves other Muslims with a choice: reject that claim or to “do whatever he says”.  Continue reading

Bar association targets Christians for ‘discrimination’

supreme-court“The American Bar Association has adopted a new rule it says will crack down on discriminatory conduct in the legal profession, but conservative critics warn the real goal is to silence views contrary to the group’s liberal orthodoxy on gender identity and sexual orientation and drum attorneys who hold those views out of business. …It is professional misconduct for a lawyer to: (g) “Engage in conduct that the lawyer knows or reasonably should know is harassment of discrimination harass or discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status or socioeconomic status in conduct related to the practice of law. …This is an attempt to silence Christians in the legal profession. The main drivers of it are LGBT activists trying to eliminate religious liberty defenses on matters pertaining to same-sex marriage and also transgenderism, to purge observant Christians from the legal profession” –Source

So many scoffers stated out loud and bold (and still do) that students of prophecy as well as some that actually understand the movements of the shadow government running things in the US Courts were insane for assuming homosexual laws will make Christians into third class citizens, less able to find work, keep businesses open, preach the Bible or even have a voice in society in general and yes we will also see certain freedoms in life completely removed due to our faith. Pope faces thick past and tricky present on Armenia trip

YEREVAN, ARMENIA – Analysts like to say that the South Caucasus region, including Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, is one of those spots where the burden of history is especially heavy.

Newly minted leaders here often make stops at the tombs of kings or martyrs from the past, in order to claim legitimacy in the present, and grievances from a century or more ago still define regional relationships.

Tensions forged by the past complicate life for anyone trying to navigate the area, even a pope. Francis is making not one but two trips to the South Caucasus in 2016, including his present June 24-26 outing to Armenia and a separate foray to Georgia and Azerbaijan in late September and early October.

Officially, organizers say logistics prevent combining the three stops, including the fact that Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia is presently in Crete for the “Holy and Great Council” of the Eastern Orthodox churches, and thus wouldn’t be on hand to host the pontiff.  Continue reading…

Catholic church accused of using ‘mafia-like’ tactics to fight sex abuse bill

3500The Catholic church in Pennsylvania has been accused of employing “mafia-like” tactics in a campaign to put pressure on individual Catholic lawmakers who support state legislation that would give victims of sexual abuse more time to sue their abusers.

The lobbying campaign against the legislation is being led by Philadelphia archbishop Charles Chaput, a staunch conservative who recently created a stir after inadvertently sending an email to a state representative Jamie Santora, in which he accused the lawmaker of “betraying” the church and said Santora would suffer “consequences” for his support of the legislation. The email was also sent to a senior staff member in Chaput’s office, who was apparently the only intended recipient.  Continue reading…
